Capacity adjustment to fluctuation of business activities

Tornos is adapting its production to order inflow and stock levels. For this purpose, short time work will be implemented. This measure, which will affect the staff in Moutier and La Chaux-de-Fonds, will comprise short time working for the full month of May 2012.

Sales and customer service activities will continue as normal during this period and the Group’s sales and service subsidiaries abroad will not be affected. No redundancies are planned.

This measure is in line with the Group’s plan for the financial year 2012, according to which a weak first half and a stronger second half is expected. Tornos uses flexible working hours and short time work to respond to short term fluctuations in business activities.
