Changes in the General Management

After a career spanning 43 years in the Tornos Group – the last 13 as the Group’s Head of Production – Bernard Seuret will be retiring with effect from 31 December 2012.

Against this background, a reorganisation of the Group’s General Management was embarked on at the beginning of the year. This has resulted in both the recruitment of a successor for Mr Seuret and a number of changes in the way tasks are divided between members of the Group’s General Management.

The Board of Directors is now pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre-Yves Müller, who will become the Group’s COO from the beginning of April. From the time of Mr Müller’s appointment, André Chardonnereau will concentrate on leading development and engineering activities for Tornos products.

Mr Müller is a 50-year-old Swiss living at Vuippens. He holds an Ecole Technique Supérieure degree in mechanical engineering and supplemented his academic training with various postgraduate courses in management, production management, and quality and supply chain. Mr Müller has extensive experience in the machine field. In the past 13 years, he has held a number of management positions in the Bobst Group, where he was a member of the general management team from 2005. He is a Director of FAM SA and Durox SA, and is a member of the Economic Council of the Canton of Vaud, and its executive office. He does not hold any positions with other organizations or major interest groups.

The Board of Directors would like to wish Mr Müller every success in his new position.
